Had an unpleasant time working the beer stand last night. 15 year old son did 15 year old things, leaving me grumbling about the ingratitude of the youth like every other dumb middle aged dad on Earth). Did not have time to detail the very dusty Sunchaser for the car show I wanted to go to today. Frustrating clients being frustrating. In short, dark mood today. May spend the afternoon washing cars or just say fuck it and take the bike to the foothills for a couple of hours after topping off coolant (which is probably leaking the way things are going). Aargh. Treating myself to lunch before I do anything, while laughing at Roseanne Barr’s suffering. This might be the greatest interview clip in the history of interviews. This is an authentic meltdown.

Holy shit, when I saw the photo of the clip I thought it was some sort of comedy skit. Still not sure it isn’t.

“I know, you’ve told me this 300 times!” says the exasperated interviewer. I like how they just finally let her talk, knowing it would be gold.

I say go for a ride. My preparing my mind and body to chaperone middle schoolers to Catalina Island tomorrow. God help me.

So, did your son do anything worthy more than a slap on the wrist or a ticket from the cops? In any case, talk with him about it.

The car can be cleaned in due time.

The bike, if damaged, can be fixed.

Might I suggest a walk or hike instead? While running a vehicle hard is fun and cathartic, a good walk (as you know) is good for the mind. I took one today while on the phone with my dad, and it was quite pleasant.
